We started Nexlyx because the AI courses we kept seeing were teaching the wrong thing.
Started in a studio. Still run like one.
In 2024, four of us were working creative directors at agencies and brand studios. We were watching juniors come in with Midjourney portfolios that looked the same. We were watching senior creatives refuse to touch the new tools and quietly fall behind. And we were watching online "AI courses" make the problem worse.
Most of them taught buttons. None of them taught taste. None of them critiqued the work. And almost all of them were sold by people whose only job was selling courses.
We built Nexlyx as the school we wished existed for our own teams. Small cohorts. Real briefs. Brutal, kind, on-camera reviews. Instructors who still ship client work every week.
We are based in Austin, Texas, incorporated as Nexlyx LLC, and we have no investors telling us to grow faster than we can teach.
